Manhattan
Part of our Pivot Doors collection →
Vertical walnut staves broken by a single angular band and a full-height bronze pull — the Manhattan is a 3″-thick solid mahogany pivot door for a modern limestone façade.
The Manhattan is a single pivot door in solid mahogany with a face built from wide vertical staves, interrupted in the lower third by a bold angular band: two planks break away on the diagonal and step back into the vertical rhythm, so the door reads as a quiet piece of geometry rather than a flat slab. A full-height brushed-bronze bar pull runs down the right edge; there is no glass and no visible hardware. Shown in a walnut stain between full-height glass sidelites in bronze frames, set in a limestone portal under a deep concrete canopy on a modern Miami house with lit floating steps.
Built 3″ thick with a staved mahogany core and mortise-and-tenon joinery, it hangs on a concealed floor-and-head pivot and can be specified with Florida Product Approval FL28370 for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (±65 PSF, TAS 201/202/203) up to 81″ × 147¾″. The sidelites are built as part of the same tested assembly with laminated impact glass. Hand-finished in our own factory in any of our standard stains or a custom color.
