Linnea
Part of our Pivot Doors collection →
A pivot door faced in fine vertical mahogany slats, finished dark — the Linnea brings the texture of a slat wall to the entrance itself. Built 4″ thick.
The Linnea is faced in closely spaced vertical slats of mahogany, each with a small square profile, so the door surface is a fine rhythm of ridge and shadow from edge to edge. The effect is a door that looks like a piece of the wall detailing — a slat ceiling, a screen, a fence — brought to the threshold and made to move.
Shown in a deep espresso finish with a full-height bar pull recessed into the slat pattern, the Linnea is set in a floor-to-ceiling glass wall on a waterfront lot, where the dark texture stands out against the sky and the pale travertine walkway. In a natural stain the slats read lighter and more tropical.
The slatted face is applied to a solid pivot slab, so the door can be built up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, hurricane-rated with two 5-point lock sets. Slat width, spacing and finish are chosen to match any slat cladding elsewhere on the house. The slab is built 4″ thick in solid mahogany.
