Athena

Part of our Pivot Doors collection →

Vertical planks above, a geometric chevron base below and a square bronze pull plate where the two meet. Solid mahogany, built to your opening.

The Athena is divided into two zones. The upper two-thirds are laid in wide vertical planks; the lower third breaks into a geometric base of diagonal and horizontal panels that meet in a chevron. A square brushed-bronze pull plate sits at the junction, right where the hand reaches.

The change of grain direction catches light differently across the base, giving the door a crafted, layered look. Shown in a deep walnut finish in a travertine surround; other finishes are available.

Because it pivots on floor and header hardware rather than side hinges, the Athena can be built as a true oversized entrance — up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370 — while still swinging with one hand. It suits modern homes with stone or stucco façades that call for a door with detail but no ornament.
