Chichester

Part of our Pivot Doors collection →

A vertical groove drops down this mahogany pivot door in a walnut finish and turns into a recessed pull. Solid mahogany, built to your opening.

The Chichester uses a single routed line. A narrow groove runs down from the top of the door near the lock side, then steps sideways at hand height into a short horizontal notch, so the pull is carved into the slab instead of mounted on it.

Wide boards with strong cathedral grain give the face a natural, textured look. Shown in a walnut finish between full-height glass sidelites in a travertine facade, it can be finished lighter or darker.

Built 4″ thick in solid mahogany and turning on floor and header pivots rather than side hinges, the Chichester can be made as a true oversized entrance — up to 81″ wide and 147¾″ tall under Florida Product Approval FL28370 — while still swinging with one hand.
