Kyoto Pivot

Diagonal mahogany louvers over glass in a black frame — the Kyoto Pivot is a see-through pivot door that screens the foyer with a bold angled pattern.

The Kyoto Pivot is built as a black-finished mahogany frame filled with thick diagonal wood bars over clear glass, so the door is transparent between the bars and reads as a sculptural screen from the street. The angled louvers throw striped shadows into the foyer and pick up the light of the chandelier inside at night. Photographed installed between stacked-stone piers on a finished home.

Built on pivot hardware, it can be made up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, hurricane-rated for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone with two 5-point lock sets. Laminated impact glass behind the louvers; bar angle and spacing to the client’s drawing. The slab is built 3″ thick in solid mahogany.
