A tall pivot slab framed by a dark vertical band that steps out at the pull — wood and metal meeting in one bold line. The signature Varberg detail, in solid mahogany. Built 4″ thick.
The Varberg pairs a broad plane of mahogany with a slim vertical band in a dark contrasting finish that runs the full height of the lock stile. Midway down, the band steps out to form the pull itself, so the hardware disappears into the design rather than sitting on top of it. A second, thinner dark line traces the pivot edge, giving the door a crisp graphic outline when it is closed and a dramatic silhouette when it is open.
The wood is shown in a deep, even brown stain with the grain running vertically to stretch the proportion further. Set against stone or stucco, the Varberg reads as a single tall gesture — which is why it has become one of our most requested pivot designs for modern and Mediterranean-modern homes.
As a pivot door it can be built well beyond hinged-door sizes: up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, with two 5-point lock sets for hurricane zones. The width and finish of the dark band can be adjusted to match window frames or exterior metalwork. The slab is built 4″ thick in solid mahogany.
