Seoul
Seven wide walnut-tone planks and a long black pull between glass sidelites — the Seoul is a calm, horizontal pivot door for a glass-fronted entry.
The Seoul stacks seven wide horizontal mahogany planks with a shallow groove between each, finished in a walnut tone that shows the figure of every board. Horizontal boards make a tall door feel broad and grounded, which is why the Seoul works so well in the center of a two-story glass wall like the one pictured, with a spiral stair visible behind.
A full-height black bar pull and a small black cylinder are the only hardware. Clear sidelites and a transom surround the door; planters and a bluestone path complete a very simple, very modern entry.
Built on pivot hardware, it can be made up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, hurricane-rated for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone with two 5-point lock sets. The number and width of planks are set to the final door height. The slab is built 3″ thick in solid mahogany.
