Metsovo
Part of our Pivot Doors collection →
A dark mahogany slab outlined by a thin brass inlay that steps in at hand height. Solid mahogany, built to your opening.
The Metsovo is a flush door with a single fine detail: a thin brass inlay that traces a tall rectangle inset from the edges. Near the lower right the line steps in to form a small notch at hand height, the one break in an otherwise strict frame.
Shown in a dark walnut finish in a pale travertine surround, the brass line catches the light against the deep grain. The inlay can be made in other metals, and the finish can go lighter.
Because it pivots on floor and header hardware rather than side hinges, the Metsovo can be built as a true oversized entrance — up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370 — while still swinging with one hand. It suits refined modern homes where the detail should be felt rather than shouted.
