Bogota with Concealed Hinges

Part of our Modern Doors collection →

Vertical walnut staves broken by a single angular band, a square hammered-bronze pull and no visible hinges — the Bogota with Concealed Hinges is a solid mahogany swing door with a clean, flush edge for a modern limestone façade.

The Bogota with Concealed Hinges is a single swing door in solid mahogany with a face of wide vertical staves, interrupted in the lower third by a bold angular band: two planks step out on the diagonal and fall back into the vertical rhythm, so the door reads as a quiet piece of geometry rather than a flat slab. A square hammered-bronze pull plate sits at hand height on the lock edge; there is no glass and no visible hardware. Because the door hangs on concealed hinges, the edge reads as a clean, uninterrupted line — no barrels, no knuckles — and the door sits flush in its frame when closed. Shown in a dark walnut stain set into a limestone portal, with bronze-framed floor-to-ceiling glass on either side, on a modern coastal Miami house.

Built 4″ thick with a staved mahogany core and mortise-and-tenon joinery, it comes pre-hung on fully adjustable concealed hinges (outswing or inswing) and can be specified as a hurricane-impact door under Florida Product Approval FL16326 (±65 PSF) for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone — up to 50½″ × 122½″ as a single door or 74½″ × 122¾″ as a pair. Hand-finished in our own factory in any of our standard stains or a custom color.
