The Berlin’s vertical planks between two full-height glass sidelites under a wood soffit — a warm, wide, welcoming pivot entry for a single-story modern home.
Berlin with 2 Glass Sidelites takes the vertical-plank Berlin and flanks it with a clear glass sidelite on each side, so the entrance becomes a wide, light-filled composition rather than a single dark leaf. The planks are finished in a warm honey stain; a short black pull sits at hand height.
Shown in a limestone portal under a deep mahogany soffit with downlights, with pendant lights at one side and planters at the step — the door’s wood and the soffit’s wood are matched so the whole recess reads as one.
Built on pivot hardware, it can be made up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, hurricane-rated for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone with two 5-point lock sets. The sidelites are built as part of the same tested assembly with laminated impact glass. The slab is built 3″ thick in solid mahogany.
