Davos
Chevron-laid mahogany planks that meet along the center line — the Davos gives a pivot entrance the depth and movement of a herringbone floor, stood upright.
The Davos is built from mahogany boards laid in a chevron: the planks angle down toward a center seam so the grain forms a continuous V pattern from top to bottom. Because every board catches light at a different angle, the surface shifts between light and dark as you move past it — an effect that is especially strong on a waterfront or west-facing entry like the one pictured.
A long, slim bar pull in black runs vertically along the lock stile and gives the eye a straight line to rest on against the angled pattern. Shown in a mid-brown stain, the chevron also works in a lighter natural finish where the individual boards read more distinctly.
The Davos is made on pivot hardware and can be built up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, with two 5-point lock sets for hurricane zones. The plank width and chevron angle are set to the final door height so the pattern is symmetrical and finishes cleanly at both rails. The slab is built 3″ thick in solid mahogany.
