Taybooto with Fixed Woodpanel
A Taybooto pivot leaf paired with a fixed mahogany panel beside it — a wide, all-wood entrance inside a two-story glass wall.
This configuration pairs the flush Taybooto pivot leaf with a fixed wood panel of the same height and finish, creating a wide wooden entrance without the cost or weight of a second operating door. In the project shown, the pair is set inside a two-story glass curtain wall, so the mahogany becomes the warm focal point between glass and stone.
The active leaf pivots on floor and header hardware and can be built up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370; the fixed panel is built as part of the same tested assembly. Both are shown in a natural mahogany stain with the grain running vertically, which stretches the proportion of an already tall opening.
A fixed panel is the right choice when the opening is wider than a single leaf but a double door would be used rarely — it keeps the daily door at a comfortable width and gives the facade the wide wood presence of a double entrance. The panel can also be specified with a glass lite or a matching slat pattern. The slab is built 3″ thick in solid mahogany.
