Alaris

A stepped-rectangle relief pattern on a two-story entry — the Alaris pairs a carved pivot door with a matching carved panel above, all in solid mahogany.

The Alaris carries a bold pattern of stepped, nested rectangles across its face, cut as grooves into the mahogany so the design reads as relief. In the project pictured the same pattern continues on a large fixed panel above the canopy, so the door and panel together form a single two-story wood composition inside a wall of glass.

The door is shown open in a warm walnut stain, with a recessed pull and a glass surround, over a travertine floor with tropical planting. It is a door for a house with height to spare and an entrance meant to be seen from the street.

Built on pivot hardware, it can be made up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, hurricane-rated for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone with two 5-point lock sets. The upper panel is built and finished to match; pattern scale is set to the final sizes. The slab is built 3″ thick in solid mahogany.
