Varberg with Concealed Hinges

The Varberg with Concealed Hinges pairs a broad plane of mahogany with a slim vertical band in a dark contrasting finish that runs the full height of the lock stile. Midway down, the band steps out to form the pull itself, so the hardware disappears into the design rather than sitting on top of it. It shares its design with our Varberg pivot door but swings on concealed hinges that stay hidden when the door is closed, a practical choice for narrower openings or where a pivot isn’t wanted. Shown in a deep espresso stain beside a full-height glass sidelite, set in a rough-cut limestone portal.

Built 4″ thick as a hinged outswing entry door in solid mahogany with mortise-and-tenon joinery, it can be specified with Florida Product Approval FL16326 for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone — up to 50½″ × 122½″ as a single door or 74½″ × 122¾″ as a pair. Sidelites are built as part of the same tested assembly with laminated impact glass. The width and finish of the dark band can be adjusted to match window frames or exterior metalwork.
