Taybooto with wooden Handle
Horizontal planks with a long handle carved from the same wood — the Taybooto with wooden handle keeps the whole door in one material, stone and glass around it.
This Taybooto pairs the horizontal-plank face with a full-height handle made of mahogany rather than metal: a slender vertical wood bar stood off the lock stile, finished to match the door. From the street the door reads as a single warm object with no hardware at all.
Shown in a walnut-tone stain between glass sidelites, in a stacked-stone portal under a mahogany soffit with linear lighting and pendant lights — a very tactile entry where wood, stone and glass each get a clear role.
Built on pivot hardware, it can be made up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, hurricane-rated for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone with two 5-point lock sets. The wooden handle can be profiled and finished to the client’s drawing. The slab is built 3″ thick in solid mahogany.
