Five horizontal frosted lites in a black frame — the Okinawa brings light into the foyer while keeping the entrance private and modern.
The Okinawa divides the door into five horizontal glass lites separated by solid rails, with wide stiles on either side. Shown here in a matte black finish with frosted glass, the door glows softly from inside at night and admits daylight during the day without giving a view in — the reason it is so often chosen for entries that face the street.
A slim stainless bar pull runs along the lock stile. In the project pictured the black door sits between wood-slat walls under a lit wood ceiling, with dark stone to one side; the black frame and the pale frosted glass are the two brightest contrasts on the facade.
Built with laminated impact glass on pivot hardware, the Okinawa can be made up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, hurricane-rated for the High Velocity Hurricane Zone with two 5-point lock sets. Glass can be frosted, reeded or clear; the frame is also available in natural mahogany stains. The slab is built 3″ thick in solid mahogany.
